If you’re heading to the Algarve with kids, Martinhal Sagres Algarve is the kind of resort that makes family travel feel genuinely easy and actually relaxing for parents. We stayed in a two-floor, two-bedroom Ocean House with sunset sea views, and it felt like having our own stylish seaside home but with every possible convenience built in.
Martinhal has truly thought of everything. From diapers and potties to bottle warmers, baby gates, and even an on-site nurse, the practical details are covered so parents can actually switch off. Dining is a standout: every restaurant has a playground or play space attached, so kids can run around while you eat in peace. Breakfast comes with incredible food, ocean views, and even staff on hand to entertain little ones while you enjoy a hot coffee which feels like pure magic on vacation.
For kids, the fun is nonstop. There are supervised drop-off kids’ clubs for all ages, heated indoor and outdoor pools, a bouncy castle, zip line, trampolines, mini putt, climbing wall, sports courts, fairy door scavenger hunts, and more. The beach is just steps away for sunset sandcastle sessions, and vetted babysitters are available if you want a proper dinner out. It’s the rare family resort that delivers on both energy and ease which is a total game changer for traveling with kids.
